[1] NB: This year, ’Almanach’ ceased to feature in the title but it was a proper almanac like the previous ones, with 84 pages of articles preceding the ephemeris section. However, all subsequent years through to the end of the 1950s appear to have been limited to about 90 pages of ephemeris only, before the title was mildly revived in the 1960s with the occasional new article and some reprints of old articles added in

[2] Starting this year (1944) and for many years to follow, the ‘Almanac’ title was dispensed with altogether, and after this year all pretensions to being a full almanac were lost for many years as the publication was almost entirely limited to ephemerides. But uniquely this year, two editions were produced, one just ephemerides; the other the traditional Chacornac almanac including numerous articles on astrology, but called ‘Ephemerides – Complete Edition’.

[3] These years are just ephemerides and related tables – without articles. I have therefore not bothered to paginate them. A note of past years in the series facing the inner title page of the 1954 edition admits that the full almanacs for 1945-1953 were ‘non parus’ (i.e. they did not appear at all).

[4] In these years, while most of the content was ephemerides, the editors made some effort to restore article contents, although typically only 2-3 shortish articles per issue and at least one of them usually culled from one of the old almanacs from 1933-1934. Again, I have not undertaken to paginate these issues since most of the content is ephemerides, and the publication remained a shadow of its former glories in the period 1931-44.

[5] For some reason, the 1931 and 1932 issues have been discounted as part of the series. They are slightly smaller but otherwise essentially very similar, the only obvious difference being that they were explicitly edited by G. Tamos whereas those from 1933 onwards are not.
