[1] Appears Kraum’s own photocopy of an article of his that was published in the AFA Bulletin some time around 1962 (date from context of content)

[1a] The address shown was the A.F.A.’s address from 1944 to 1954 inclusive at least. It had been displaced by 6, Library Court by November 1963. This may therefore conceivably be the original printing of this volume; and it cannot in any event be later than 1963.

[1b] The final article called for in the table of contents is signed on p. 82, which therefore appears to be the end of the volume. There is no evidence of any contents having been removed, the staples being firmly bound around the final leaf. It is therefore clear that the volume was significantly extended in a later edition published some time between this one and the post-1975 printing held, if not for the first time in that printing, which is possible

[2] A facsimile reprint, in or after 1975 (as shown by the publisher’s address), of the original edition copyrighted (and presumably first published) in 1949

[3] The text between pp. 141 and 143 is not continuous. One sentence starts on p. 141 and a different one ends on p. 143. Therefore it is evident that there should be a page 142 which is missing. It is not known if this printing error affected all copies of this printing, just one small batch, or just this copy

[4] In German library records, I could only find references to one earlier printing of this work, the 13.-22. Tsd. of 1941. The date of the original is therefore unknown

[5] Copyrighted 1983, and with no reference made to the printing date of this edition; but references in the foreword show this edition to be after 1993

[6] Director of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles

[7] It is stamped Renate Sydow, 2 Hambyrg 61, Dohlenhorst 10. A company of that name appears to exist at that address to this day; but the relvance of this stamp is unclear

[8] These times are also shown in tiny print at the bottom left of every page; the previous owner owner has in fact made the book easier to use by indexing the pages with the times to which they relate in larger print

[9] Each page is numbered as two, thus the first as 01 – 02 and thelast as 1439 – 1440. This appears to be an artifact of the process by which the tables were prepared for publication, with two original pages of computerised print-out set side-by-side to each printed page of the book

[14] The continuation and completion of the II. Teil of Buch II, which was published separately from the earlier part of the II. Teil of the same book, as listed above.
