[1] Retains the original copyright date of 1976, but advertising at the rear for other CRCS publications including the first edition of Stephen Arroyo’s Relationships & Life Cycles shows cannot predate 1979

[1a] It is not clear whether this date relates to the present or only the first printing.

[2] The letter advises of the author’s expected temporary new postal address at Altadena, California and discusses plans for a series of publications to be issued by subscription, under the collective name of “Seed for Greater Living”, to which the present work is billed as the introduction. However, the series of that name had already been in existence since 1956 at least. See journals section for details

[3] The first part retains the original publication date of 1967, while the second part retains its original publication date of 1984; but this one-volume compendium is clearly after 1994 and probably after 2000 in view of the publisher’s web reference in its advertising at the end.

[4] A paperback reprint of the above

[5] Hand-dated “[19]64” by a former owner

[6] The contents are a compendium of the originally separately published Humanistic Astrology Series Nos. 1-6, q.v. above

[7] A paperback reprint of the above, dated 1980; but this date may relate to an earlier printing of this edition

[7a] Internally comprises a combined reprint of the essays originally separately published as Seed-Ideas Nos. 1-7. For Nos. 2-7 in their original form, see the separate catalogue entries below. No. 1, not held separately by this collection, is called Dissonant Harmony

[7b] A print-on-demand book, renamed from the original edition of 2010 entitled ‘The Universal Matrix’; this copy purchased new in 2020, with no other date shown

[7c] A series of publications collectively edited by a team of five editors

[7d] A scholarly study and annotated German translation of the Syriac Book of Medicines, q.v. under Budge, Wallis, above

[8] A compilation of articles variously credited to four different authors: Herbert Pauels, Halle; Theodor Keysers, Düsseldorf; Prof. Wilhelm Drude, Detmold; and the editor. Some articles are not expressly attributed to an author and presumed to be by the editor

[9] Address as given on front cover; the inner copyright address is Hamburg 22. Whether or not that implies that this may be an undeclared early reprint is unclear. The 1936 date appears on the title page as well as the copyright page, however

[10] A planned series of publications, of which to the best of my knowledge this was the only one to appear

[11] Includes a double-page chart entitled “Ein kosmisches Kraftlinien-Feld für die Jahre 1924-1933, Hitlers Erfolg darstellend”; a printed chart entitled “Graphische Ephemeride 1934”; and a printed chart blank.

[12] The single chart is labelled “LIX”; the duplicates “LXI” and “LXVIII”. (On copy A, both the copies of LXVIII have had their centres cut out by a previous owner; but they have been retained.)

[13] They are distinguished by subtle differences in their different cover designs. Copy A features the words “System Hamburger Schule” on the front cover, and “Leitfaden der Astrologie” in lower-case letters on the spine. Copy B features “(Hamburger Schule)” on the cover and “LEITFADEN DER ASTROLOGIE” in upper-case letters on the spine. Internally they are identically printed; and there is no obvious evidence of Copy A being a later printing although the gilt is fresher on the covers of this copy. The identical price list in the advertisements at the end would suggest a common age

[13a] Library records indicate 1926, and internal advertisements agree

[14] Worldcat records 1984, but this might be an undeclared later printing
