[0] A series of books edited at this time by Howard Sasportas

[1] The four essays in this pamphlet are entitled “Infant Mortality”, “Marriage”, “Death” and “Suicide”. They are stated as having first been printed in issues of Wynn’s Astrology Magazine

[2] It is difficult to establish the identity of this individual from online records, according to which there was a dentist using the name Dr. E. G. Griffin in the United States the early 20th century, yet there is no obvious evidence to suggest that to be the same individual. The original owner of this copy also uses the stamp “E. Krishna Griffin”, and has pasted a Rosicrucian Fellowship sticker over the corner of his ex-libris label, indicating that he held a wide range of esoteric interests

[3] The pagination is identical to that of the second edition shown above, so any revisions from it must be very minor

[4] Retains only the copyright date of 1931 from the second edition in print, but was clearly printed no earlier than 1943, as evidenced from the advertising for books first published as late as then to the rear dj cover on this copy

[5] No library records found; but American copyright database suggests that the original edition, of which this is clearly a recent reprint, was published in 1965 and linked to predictions for 1965

[6] The first five editions of this sumptuously illustrated publication were all published in 1928, the first four being given different superior-sounding names, in something of a gimmicky fashion, but all five sharing the same size format and colour plates, with the exception possibly of one that was only present in the first edition or two. The  Subscribers’ edition was limited to 550 copies; the King Solomon Edition to another 550; the Theosophical Edition to 200; and the Rosicrucian Edition to 100, for a total of 2200 copies printed in the first year of publication. The sixth edition that followed in 1936 was inferior, its plates being reproduced only in monochrome. There have been many later reprints, some in colour

[7] Elephant folio, too big to fit on any bookshelf. Must lie flat
