Binding format and presentation notes:

  • In four old half-leather volumes (each with outer spine peeled away; some with volume label inked to inner spine) with paper-covered boards. (Very heavy wear to outer corners of boards, and generally fairly heavy edgewear, to all vols.. Some matching very old former library stamps and pockets within all vols..)
  • Volume I in six issues comprises the first physical Volume; the others have four issues each.
  • Each volume’s component internal issues are prefixed with an overall title page and typically 3-page index (pp. ii-iv) to the volume.
  • The final volume ends with an unpaginated select 2-page index to the portraits and main studies in the complete set of issues in all vols.
