Editions of Astrological Texts:
A Checklist from the David Juste list

For ready reference purposes, mostly my own and that of the serious astrologers among my friends, I’m taking the liberty of copying and pasting the source editions section of David Juste’s astrological bibliography, and indicating which texts I’ve so far been able to find and afford. I have marked them variously ‘YES’, ‘PENDING’, ‘NO’ and ‘NOT INTERESTED’ as appropriate. I should add that Juste’s list is in places highly selective, with the Renaissance and Modern Times section being especially weak and partial. It is strongest on the classical and medieval periods, although the medieval period has some notable lacks that surprise me, and should include Gerold Hilty’s critical edition in two volumes (1954; 2005) of the medieval Castillan version of Haly Abenragel’s ‘El Libro Conplido en los Iudizios de las Estrellas’, which I have, and Charles Burnett’s critical edition of Alchabitius’s ‘Introduction to Astrology’, published just a few years ago (2004?) by the Warburg Institute, which I also have.
