Ltd., 10 & 11 Red Lion Court 1931 £35 Publisher address dates this impression to between 1922 and 1939, which matches the date of 1931 to the title page Original smallish-format brown cloth with blind-stamped patterned bordering to front board and gilt titling to both front board and spine. Cloth in vgc+ condition, with 3mm loss to head of spine, and light rubbing to upper part of front hinge, foot of spine and upper outer corners, else near-fine. Gilt is remarkably bright and strong on this copy, making it unusually attractive for its age. Front paste-down with former owner’s inked name and date, and a plain-pencilled sum. Ffep with former bookseller stamp. Title page with old black-inked marginal initials in a fine hand. No markings found to any pages beyond title page. Overall, a vgc+ copy of this attractive edition
