Academic Astrology Books – Wants & Arrivals

The purpose of this page is twofold.

Its first function is as a public statement of published academic books that are not yet held in the international astrology library but are wanted for it, whether through donations or through self-funded purchases. These are not all equally high-priority; and some will inevitably remain set aside in favour of higher priorities on grounds of their individual cost-benefit analyses not seeming to merit their prioritisation, but they are titles worth being aware of just in case a suitable and timely opportunity to acquire them should occur in the future.

The second role of the page is to keep a running annual record of academic books of relevance to astrology and cultural astronomy, as well as academic-calibre books on the history of astrology and biographies of historical figures of relevance, that have recently been acquired for the library, which will tend to include some that have previously been on the wants list and others that have not but have been acquired in any case. This running record began only in 2022. Academic books acquired before then will not be listed on this page, but should be found integrated into the general library catalogue via the links under ‘Bibliography’ in the main site navigation.
