Lippincott Company, Philadelphia / London 1931 £95   Original red full cloth in vgc+ condition, with mild rubbing to extremities of spine and some outer corners of boards; lower outer corner of front board a bit more worn. Plain-pencilled price to ffep. Former owner’s inked name, dated 1960, to upper margin of title page. Blue-inked underlining to pp. 23-4, with related annotations to p. 23. No other faults found. Despite the mark-up to those two pages, a very good copy overall. All early hardback editions before 1940 now rare.
