Gilt titling to spine remains strong and bright. In vgc+ dj, with 5mm tear to top of front flap-fold and a little staining to front and rear panels. else fine. Ffep with old plain-pencilled bookseller notes to upper margin. The original owner has underlined one quotation from Cardano within the top paragraph on p. 2 in black ink. Otherwise unmarked, with no other faults found. Overall, still a better-than-very-good copy of the first edition, in vgc+ dj.
