Horary Astrology and the Judgment of Events 1st Valhalla Paperbacks 1973 £25   Original full cloth in vgc, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine and lower outer corners of boards; light rubbing to upper outer corners of boards. Gilt titling to both front board and spine still strong and bright. In vgc- dj with light tearing to extremities of spine and traces of staining to front panel. Tiny plain-pencilled bookseller numbers to ffep. The main defect is highlighting to selected key-phrases in the first half of the book, found on pp. 13-15, 19-36, 42-46, 48-50, 52-61, 63-70, 90-3, 95-8, 100-3, 105-8 and 110. This is mostly in pink and yellow, but traces from pp. 106-8 are in blue, and there are very occasional instances of words underlined in red ink in addition to being highlighted. The second half of the book, labelled Part Two, appears to be free from mark-up. Clearly a well-studied reference copy by a serious student or practitioner of the horary art. Still a solid copy of the sought-after first edition, in well-conserved binding and dust jacket. Internal mark-up factored into price.
