pb Brady, Bernadette The Eagle and the Lark: a Textbook of Predictive Astrology 1st Samuel Weiser, Inc., York Beach, ME 1992 £50   Original outwardly glossy card covers in good+ condition, with moderate creasing to spine, visible edge-wear to lower edges of covers, lower outer corner of front cover, and part of outer edge of rear cover, with the glossy outer layer tending to peel back from the edges in particular; light curling to upper outer margin of front cover, and minor crease towards lower outer corner of rear cover; original importer’s small price sticker to upper margin of same. Minor accidental ink marks to insides of covers. Internally a very good copy on the whole, with most pages unmarked. Chapter One, however, has accidental slip-of-a-pen marks to outer margins of pp. 11, 25, 35, 41 and 43, and to p. 37; a few other tiny blue ink-stains to pp. 39 and 40; and a small, mild reddish stain to lower outer margin of leaf comprising pp. 41-2, with trace transfer effects to previous leaf. No markings found beyond p. 43. Inner paper hinge between pp. 42 and 43 newly repaired with white archival hinge repair tape down gutter. No other faults found. Overall, a decent good+ copy of this highly sought-after first edition with the original cover design that was not retained on the retitled reprints. Price factors in condition.
