Fowler & Co., 7, Imperial Arcade, Ludgate Circus, E.C. 4, London 1934 £40 After the original printing of 1930, whose text appears unchanged here Original full blue wave-patterned cloth in vgc+ condition, with very light rubbing to extremities of spine and tips of outer corners of boards, and minor bumping to three outer corners. Gilt titling to front board and spine intact, and clear although no longer strong to all parts of spine. Vintage address label of First Temple and College of Astrology, Los Angeles, to front paste-down. Free end-papers browned (acidic paper). Old fine hand-inked signature of early owner to ffep. Binding strong. Short archival tissue repair to part of rear inner paper hinge; both inner hinges otherwise intact. Minor wear to 1 cm part of top edge of leaf comprising pp. 181-2. No internal markings or other faults found. An excellent copy of this early impression.
