Early owner’s black-inked signature, dated 1979, to upper margin of half-title page. Old bookseller’s address stamp to copyright page. Most of the main part of the book is unmarked, but the preface and first two chapters as far as p. 16 do have some mark-up – mostly very faint, faded pale green highlighting, but also red-inked marginal astrological shorthand and some red-inked circles around individual words to pp. 6-7 only, with a further red-inked marginal cross to p. 16. Beyond p. 16, the book is internally near-fine, with the only other issue being a corrected dog-ear to the lower outer corner of the final page of advertisements. Externally vgc+; internally good+; overall, a very good copy. |
