hb Rudhyar, Dane The Astrology of Personality: A Re-formulation of Astrological Concepts and Ideals, in Terms of Contemporary Psychology and Philosophy 1st Lucis Publishing Company, New York 1936 £125 The true first edition, not to be confused with the David McKay reprint. Publisher’s original full brown cloth in vgc+ condition. Binding is very clean for its age, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and very light rubbing to outer corners of boards. Gilt to spine titling has perished, but underlying titles remain legible. Top edge of page block browned. Front inner paper hinge has started to split in the central portion, but the remainder is intact and the underlying webbing appears strong. No other weaknesses to binding found. Internally, a bright, clean copy, with just a few erasable plain-pencilled marks on a small number of pages. Tiny stain to outer margin of rear fep. Overall, a near-fine copy for its age, despite the faded titling to the spine, which is typical of first editions of this title.
