Complete in [2] + [2 single-sided leaves] + [2-panel fold-out plate] + [pp. 7-36] + [1 leaf] + [pp. 39-71] + [1 leaf] + [pp. 75-106] + [1 leaf] + [pp. 109-138] + [1 leaf] + [pp. 141-179] + [1 page of advertisements] Original full cloth in vgc for age, with considerable browning to spine and some spotting to boards, but only minor wear to extremities. Ffep with early owner’s name and address dated August 1899, in a fine brown-inked hand. Internally in vgc- condition, with no deliberate previous owner markings but a few minor faults to note as follows: creasing to outer edge of fold-out plate owing to careless past closure of book, and some wear down lower half of inner edge of same, confined to the margin; paper-browning to upper inner margins of pp. 26-7 owing to a past newspaper cutting insert there; very occasional thumb-smudging to paper; and some strain to binding visible at inner paper hinges at pp. 64-5, 80-1, 96-7, 112-3 and 128-9, but cords mostly holding, although top cord between pp. 64-5 and pp. 80-1 perished, and both those paper hinges looking quite strained so they may eventually need hinge tape repairs. Tiny vintage bookseller address label adhered to rear paste-down.
