In good dj with one large chip lost from upper inner margin of front panel, removing the ‘S’ from the word ‘Astrology’, moderate chipping to top of spine and of flap-folds, light chipping to feet of flap-folds, moderate wear and some tears to foot of spine and to top and bottom edges of front cover; and light wear along parts of spine hinges and of front flap. Former owner’s neatly printed address sticker to front paste-down. Inked presentation note to former owner, dated January 9, 1950, to ffep, and another in plain pencil from the second owner, dated Dec 1956, to the upper margin of the half-title page. Small abraded sticker to upper margin of rear paste-down. Printed pages beyond half-title page clean and unmarked.
