Baum, Julie Pluto 2nd American Federation of Astrologers 1971 £70 1st and only AFA hardback edition, April 1971, after the original workmanlike National Astrological Library edition of August 1966, which was the first edition of this English translation, translated by Julie Baum from the German first edition of 1935. The hardback edition is the more desirable one although it came slightly later Original full maroon cloth in vgc+ condition for age, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine and to outer corners of boards, which are slightly bumped. A few minor superficial scratches and stains to boards, but binding remains tight and square. [NB: The apparent convexity of the book in the main picture is not real, just a visual artefact of my camera’s zoom lens at the wide-angled setting required to capture this large book from overhead while holding it in one hand.] Ffep with tiny plain-pencilled old price marking to upper outer margin and minor corrected dog-ear to lower outer corner. Rear paste-down with charming vintage semi-circular Macoy Publishing & Masonic Supply Co., address label to lower inner margin, and plain-pencilled number alongside this. Printed pages unmarked, with no faults found.
