A Treatise of Natal Astrology 1st The Occult Book Company, 6 Central Street, Halifax, Yorks. 1894 £65 The true first edition of George Wilde’s first astrology book, and one of his most comprehensive. Bound (as issued) with ‘The Soul and the Stars’ by A. G. Trent (the pseudonym of British Museum curator Richard Garnett) Original full cloth in good antiquarian condition for age, with wear to cloth at top and tail of spine, separation of cloth down top 3 cm of front hinge and top 2.5 cm of rear hinge; a small patch of abrasion towards lower middle of spine, and wear to outer corners of boards. Gilt titling to front board still strong; to spine, it is rather faded but still perceptible except where affected by aforementioned patch of surface abrasion. Original lime green floral endpapers intact. Slightly stained internal tear to upper margin of leaf comprising pp. 169-170. No other internal markings or faults found.
