hb/dj West, John Anthony The Case for Astrology 1st thus Viking Arkana / Penguin Group 1991 £45 A major revision and expansion of the author’s previously co-authored book of the same name. This is the first impression thus. Original full red cloth in fine condition, with no obvious wear, just light superficial vertical creasing to spine. Green gilt titling to spine strong and bright. In vgc+ glossy illustrated dj, with superficial 1 cm tear to foot of rear flap-fold, light wear to two other extremities of flap-folds, and some light edge-wear; Watkins Books sticker to rear panel; trace of residue from removed sticker to front flap. Ffep with plain-pencilled price and bookseller abbreviation. Inner paper hinge before title page lightly strained; it is structurally fine for now but may eventually need reinforcement. A few plain-pencilled ticks, crosses, arrows and lines to the outer margins of some pages, and rare plain-pencilled annotations. This was probably Geoffrey Dean’s copy; and they are likely to be his notes. No permanent internal markings or other faults found.
