Finer Techniques of Astrological Predictions Vol. One 2nd edition, 2nd reprint Vani Publications, Delhi 2016 £5.50 After the first edition of 1999 and second edition of 2006, of which a first reprint appeared in 2011. This is a compendium of 15 essays by eight different astrologers, including 5 by Rao himself. It is thus complete in itself although it was part of a series of two volumes of such compendia. Original glossy card covers in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to outer corners and minor creasing towards lower outer corners and to part of outer margin of front cover. Some dark-staining to closed top edge of page block, with a small trace to bottom edge. Internally near-fine, with no permanent markings or faults found. The last essay has a few sentences with plain-pencilled underlining, which could be erased: spotted on pp. 227, 239, 240 and 242 only. Slight thumb-print to lower margin of p. 243. Within the catalogue of books available from the publisher at the end, plain-pencilled rings have been made around several numbers – also erasable.
