Shows only the copyright date of the original 1947 edition within, although the Bonanza / Crown edition is later, probably from the mid-1960s based on the dust jacket advertising. This is the seventh Bonanza impression, as shown by the letter ‘g’ being the first of the letters printed on the copyright page, each of which represents an impression. | Orignal full blue cloth in near-fine condition, with light rubbing to foot of spine and minimal rubbing to lower outer corners of boards. In mylar-protected near-fine dj with light-to-moderate rubbing to extremities of spine and of front flap-fold. Faint plain-pencilled bookseller number to upper margin of ffep, but internally a near-fine copy, with just a small number of accidental slip-of-a-pen marks spotted to lower or outer margins (noted at pp. 159-160 and at pp. 271-4, 303, 305, 324 and 337), but no deliberate or serious markings or other faults found. The dust jacket of this copy is exceptionally well-conserved. |
