Shows only the copyright date of the original 1947 edition within, although the Bonanza / Crown edition is later, probably from the mid-1960s based on the dust jacket advertising. This is the seventh Bonanza impression, as shown by the letter ‘g’ being the first of the letters printed on the copyright page, each of which represents an impression. | Original full blue cloth in fine condition for age. An unusually fresh-looking copy, with page-edges still relatively white. In newly repaired vgc+ dj, which has light rubbing to extremities of spine, moderate rubbing to extremities of front flap-fold, and a few short tears to top edge of front panel, which have been (together with the head and tail of the spine) repaired and stabilised from the inside with archival book repair tissue. Minor dark-staining to upper inner margin of front paste-down. Minor corrected dog-ears to upper outer corners of first few leaves of preliminaries. Otherwise internally fine, with no previous owner markings or other faults found. |
