Ltd. n.d. £30 Library records give 1927 for this, the true first edition Original wave-patterned full blue cloth in near-fine condition, with only minimal rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards. Gilt titling to front board still quite strong; to spine, it is relatively faded but still clearly legible. Acidic endpapers toned as usual. No internal markings or other faults found. An excellent original copy. The rarely surviving original dj is present but in poor condition, split into two main pieces, comprising firstly the pictorial front panel and front flap, and secondly the rear panel. The rear flap and most of the spine of the dj are lost. The surviving portions have been tucked inside the book for safekeeping.
