Original full red cloth in good- overall condition, with separation of cloth to top 1 cm of front spine hinge, white library classification number inked or chalked to lower part of spine, some fraying towards top of rear spine hinge, and wear to lower outer corners of boards. Rear inner paper hinge cracked and would benefit from repair with strengthening tape at gutter, although webbing mostly still holding. Former County Library bookplate to front paste-down, and a related small stamp to blank area of title page, which also bears a blue Astrological Association stamp. (I purchased this copy from a previous AA book sale organised by the AA’s then librarian Trudie Charles several years ago.) Tiny inked ‘S’ to one corner of ffep. Copyright page with printed and separate inked number, both presumed to relate to former library purposes. Rear paste-down with further, small turquoise Astrological Association stamp, and red ‘Withdrawn’ stamp presumed to date back to its deacquisition from the earlier County Library. Text pages unmarked. Overall, a fair ex-library copy of this desirable original edition by Sucher, which could be improved with repairs. Priced to sell.
