This edition has become highly collectible. | Original full imitation leather cloth in vgc+ condition, with small patch of staining and discoloration to lowest few mm of rear side of spine, as pictured, and similar to lower outer corner of rear board; also, minor wear to tips of outer corners of front board, and minor staining to part of rear board and to part of bottom closed edge of page block. The binding is still tight and square. The gilt titling to the spine remains strong and bright. The gilt to the top edge is still complete. The colour portrait of Lilly is in very good condition. Corrected dog-ear to lower outer corner of leaf comprising pp. 457-8. No internal markings or other faults found. Original publisher’s 3-panel fold-out fixed star table and original (slightly creased) errata slip laid in loose at rear, as issued. Externally vgc+; internally fine. Overall, an excellent copy of this sought-after edition. |
