[1] One of the most prolific American astrological magazine editors of the 20th century. He was a young man in his 20s at the time this title was published, but went on to edit Illustrated Astrology (q. v., above), and ultimately Horoscope magazine for mnay years.

[2] NB: This was the first volume, despite the numbering system. This numbering appears to represent an attempt to link the journal by volume year with the earlier numbers of the Journal of the National Astrological Association, which had been in hiatus, but then resumed publication in or around July 1933, its editor Henry J. Gordon implicitly expressing great irritation at the seeming attempts of Wagner’s unauthorised publication to claim rights to its name and to the continuation of its legacy.
