[1] The issues from 1928 to 1930 state to the front cover “Begründet von Ludwig Hoffmann und Elsbeth Ebertin”, while all from 1928 to 1938 carry this message to the inner title page; but it is clear from the internal credits that she is no longer working for the publication from the 1928 issue onwards. Her name as co-founder seems to have been carried after that largely to give the publication sustained credibility thanks to her pre-existing high reputation. Even on the 1928 and 1929 editions, Hoffmann is listed as the one primarily responsible for the contents, but Ebertin takes pride of place alongside him as named Herausgeber
