About this Book Scan

Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printing of the 1908 second edition.

How to Judge a Nativity Part II, when first published in 1904, was the fourth volume to appear in Alan Leo’s series of Astrological Text-Books, which would eventually run to a seventh volume by 1913. After the first publication of the fifth volume in the overall series, The Progressed Horoscope, in 1906, both volumes of How to Judge a Nativity were significantly revised and expanded, with the second edition of Part II, as published in 1909, having about 100 more pages than the first edition had.

The shorter original edition of How to Judge a Nativity Part II is also separately available from Astrolearn as a download, as are both the first two editions of Part I.

Later editions of How to Judge a Nativity Part II were renamed The Art of Synthesis, starting in 1912.
