H. S. Green was a senior astrologer in Alan Leo’s circle who contributed from an early stage to The Astrologer’s Magazine and Modern Astrology. He was also one of the leading authors of books in Alan Leo’s Astrological Manuals series published by Modern Astrology Office and Fowler.

Directions and Directing was H. S. Green’s introductory manual to the principles and practice of predictive astrology, and ran through several editions, of which that of 1905, as reproduced here, was the first.
