This copy with only slight sun-fading to spine. Gilt titling to front board remains strong and bright; to spine, it is mostly strong and bright, with just a few letters partly faded. Front paste-down with oval Hollywood bookseller sticker to lower margin. Ffep toned and has plain-pencilled bookseller notes to upper margin. Internal vertical crease to leaf comprising pp. 71-2. Occasional light pencilled marginal lines within, mostly erasable plain-pencil, a few possibly purple pencil, and sporadic foxing, but a generally clean copy in near-very good internal condition. Photographic frontispiece portrait of Alan Leo detached but present; it could probably be taped back in at the inner margin without spoiling its appearance. Separate photograph of Alan Leo after p. 90 is still attached and in fine condition. Rear free endpaper toned and has plain-pencilled astrological annotations to verso. A couple of slight slip-of-a-pencil marks to rear paste-down. |
