Title page dated 1910 in print, distinguishing it from all later reprints that were undated to the title page. The true first printing of the second edition, and the first in the new, uniform deep-green cloth series binding style Original small-format deep green cloth in good overall condition for age, with moderate rubbing to foot of spine, bumping to cloth towards middle of spine, slight bowing to front board, and scattered staining to parts of boards and spine. Trace of damp-staining to lower margins of first two internal leaves and of front paste-down. Rear inner paper-hinge tender and slightly cracked at top. Rear fep with modern blue-inked note and telephone numbers. No previous-owner markings found to any other pages. Overall, a good and internally pleasing, clean and complete though outwardly not particularly attractive original copy of the first printing of the 2nd edition.
