The advertising at the back for the author’s other books excludes titles first published after 1932. | Original full blue wave-patterned cloth in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and tips of outer corners of boards. Gilt titling is still bright to front board and fairly bright to spine, with ruled gilt lines at top of spine suffering partial loss of gilt. Book is retained non-adhesively in a protective mylar jacket. Acidic endpapers somewhat browned. Blue-inked marginal bracketing and trace of underlining to p. 10 (part of introduction). No other markings or faults found. Overall, a very good copy of the scarce and sought-after first edition. |
