In vgc- original dj, which has one chip lost from lower margin of rear panel, minor chipping to foot of spine and extremities of rear spine hinge, scattered surface scuffing to rear panel, and a few very short tears to top edges of panels; rear panel also has halo from removed price sticker or similar, and one printed price crossed out in dark grey ink; front flap with old plain-pencilled bookseller price. Internally a near-fine copy, with tiny ink stain to part of leaf comprising pp. 165-6, barely touching top of one character of text and bottom of another on p. 165, but no deliberate markings or other faults found. For its age, an excellent copy of the second edition in rarely-surviving dust jacket whose pictorial front panel is of a design unique to this edition, and remains pleasingly well-conserved |
