hb Rudhyar, Dane The Astrology of Personality: A Re-formulation of Astrological Concepts and Ideals, in Terms of Contemporary Psychology and Philosophy 1st Lucis Publishing Company, New York 1936 £195 The true first edition, not to be confused with the David McKay reprint. Publisher’s original full brown cloth in near-fine condition, with minimal traces of rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and tips of outer corners. Gilt titling to spine unusually well-preserved for this title, with most letters still strong and bright. Former owner’s inked name and address to ffep. Printed pages generally unmarked – I spotted only a small slip-of-a-pencil mark to lower outer corner of p. 76, but no deliberate markings. Very slight trace of paper-waviness towards outer part of lower margins of some pages, barely perceptible in use as it is so far from the text, with faint tide marks to lower outer corners from pp. 175-186 (bottom few mm only) suggesting a likely cause in a past liquid spill, but it’s really very minor. No other faults found. An extremely well-conserved copy externally, with only one minor fault internally, making it still an excellent copy of the collectible first edition in its original binding
