Gilt titling to front board remains mostly very bright and strong. Former Theosophical Lodge bookplate to front paste-down. Ffep peripherally lightly toned, and with plain-pencilled bookseller notes to upper margin. A little scattered black ink-spotting (or similar) to half-title page. Very inoffensively small and faint plain-pencilled marginal annotation to p. v., similar to p. 111 and p. 163, and others possible elsewhere although this was all I saw leafing through, but no permanent internal markings or faults found. Overall, an excellent copy of the sought-after first edition of this classic bibliographical reference work |
