Originally gilt titling relatively faded to both front board and spine, as usual with this edition. Internally near-fine, with no deliberate previous owner markings or other faults found. Slip-of-a-plain-pencil mark to lower margin of p. 77. Possible tiny droplet ink stain to lower margin of p. 58, but could just be foxing, of which traces are occasionally apparent elsewhere. Minor binding strain between pp. 28 and 29, as usual on this edition, but cords holding; and occasional partial hinge separation elsewhere, but nothing serious. Overall, this is a vgc+ copy: externally very good; internally near-fine |
