hb/dj George, Llewellyn Perpetual Planetary Hour Book 10th (revised) Llewellyn Publications, St. Paul, Minnesota 1970 £32.50 After the original edition of 1907, sixth of 1940, seventh of 1947, eighth of 1958 and ninth of 1967. The first edition date is incorrectly declared in print within this edition as 1906. Original full yellow cloth in near-fine condition for age, with light sun-fading to extremities of spine and minor staining to lower margin of front board. In good- original pictorial dj, which has lost top cm of spine; light chipping to foot of rear spine hinge; chipping to tops of flap-folds; 2 cm tear to top of front flap-fold, with minor rubbing along its whole length; light chipping and general rubbing to feet of flap-folds; a long tear across the front panel repaired from the inside with clear tape; 1 cm tear to top edge of rear panel, whose upper margin is creased. Internally near-fine, with no deliberate markings or significant faults found; minimal traces of marginal thumb-staining observed to pp. 84-5. Overall, an excellent copy in good- dj, which retains its attractive period visual design values (see gallery picture for rear panel) in spite of its wear and tear.
