Original large format cord covers including extension to rear cover comprising title-printed spine and wide flap, turning book into an effective folder. Covers in vgc for age, with rubbing to extremities of extended spine, with light rubbing along its surface; patch of rubbing to bottom edge of front cover; tiny patch of scuffing to rear cover (not crossing text); and some staining to front cover. Threaded plastic-coated wire coil serving as main binding is fine. Minor staining to upper margin of inside of front cover. Internally near-fine, with plain-pencilled mark-up to chart on p. 68, but no permanent markings or other faults found. Minor trace of foxing to outer margins of pp. 208-9. Overall, an excellent copy of this rare, out-of-print early book by Martha Lang-Wescott, her first major work.
