hb/dj Gauquelin, Michel; tr. Clemow, Joyce E. Cosmic Influences on Human Behaviour 1st Stein and Day, New York 1973 £90   Original turquoise quarter-cloth with gilt titling to spine, and orange textured paper-covered boards with gilt print of author’s signature to front board, as issued. Cloth in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine; boards near-fine, with very slight bump to bottom edge of front board. In near-fine black and green publisher’s dj with moderate rubbing to foot of spine and feet of flap-folds; light rubbing to top of spine and tops of flap-folds. This dj nested within secondary promotional yellow outer dj, which is structurally fine and cosmetically very good, with just a hint of dark-staining to rear panel and browning to spine. Both djs are together held within a protective mylar sleeve, which is loosely taped to itself but not to the dust jacket or book. Vintage printed Samuel Weiser small address label to lower margin of front paste-down. Internally fine, with no other markings and no faults found.
