Shows only the copyright date of the original 1947 edition within, although the Bonanza / Crown edition is later, probably from the mid-1960s based on the dust jacket advertising. This is the fourth Bonanza impression, as shown by the letter ‘d’ being the first of the letters printed on the copyright page, each of which represents an impression. | Original full blue cloth in near-fine condition, with minimal rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and tips of outer corners of boards. In newly-repaired vgc+ dj, which had very slight chipping (a few mm only) to top of front side of spine but this has now been stabilised from the inside with archival book repair tissue; light rubbing to feet of spine hinges; minor tearing to three extremities of flap-folds, else near-fine. Internally fine. Ffep with old plain-pencilled bookseller price, but no permanent markings or other faults found. |
