Ltd., London | £75 | Library records give 1937, which is supported by the publisher address (10 & 11 Red Lion Court) in the advertising at the back of this copy | Original full blue cloth in near-fine condition, with almost no visible wear, just a trace to upper outer corner of front board; both outer corners of front board slightly bumped. Light sunning to top of spine; original orange titling still clear although slightly faded at spine. Old plain-pencilled bookseller notes to upper margin of ffep. Minor foxing to endpapers, and slight strain to binding at inner paper hinges connecting pp. 64-5 and 96-7 (a typical Foulsham binding issue at joints between major page gatherings), but cords holding and underlying webbing strong. Overall, internally a near-fine copy for its age, with no other markings or faults found. |
