[1] A collection of publications founded by James Loeb in 1911, and edited at the present time by Jeffrey Henderson

[2] An edition of the ancient Greek text, with facing translation by Guthrie. The Greek text itself has been carefully revised by Guthrie from that established by August Immanuel Bekker (as published in the second volume of Bekker’s Aristotelis Opera, 1831), with reference to what he describes as the Oxford Classical Texts edition of D. J. Allan (De  caelo libri quattuor, 1936).

[3] A reprint of the edition first published in 1939, after previous reprints of 1945, 1953, 1960, 1971, 1986 and 2000

[4] A reprint of the edition originally published as “Copernicus, the founder of modern astronomy” by Thomas Yoselof of New York in 1957

[5] A series of publications directed by Jesús Peláez

[6] A study of the astrological thinking of three Jewish medieval astrologers: Abraham Bar Hiyya (pp. 55-120), Abraham Ibn Ezra (pp. 121-270), and Yosef Ben Eliezer Bonfils (pp. 271-298). An appendix (pp. 299-381) features selected fragments from their texts in Italian translation, some also interspersed with the relevant Hebrew source text

[7] A series of publications edited at this time by Johannes Irmscher

[8] A critical edition of the ancient Greek text of a famous and influential ancient work on dream omens. Although not directly relevant to astrology, the text is of broad interest to studies in ancient divination

[9] A pseudonym of Carl Vigelius, according to DNB records. Some other online sources give the spelling Karl Vigelius. In one article in a book by multiple authors he appears to have combined his real name and pseudonym in styling himself “Dr. Vigelius Asboga”

[10] A compendium of eight originally subscription-based issues that were supposed to be produced on a monthly basis. The foreword to the I. Teil is dated Oktober 1925. The eighth issue was projected to be published at the latest in June 1926 and issued together with a binding for all eight. In practice, the seventh issue appeared as a double issue. This bound compilation is presumed to date from 1926

[11] The sudden leap from I. to IV. in the numbering system for the part of the course called “Spezielle Astrologie” is not adequately accounted for. Pagination is continuous and no content appears missing

[11a] After the original printing of 2000

[12] This author appears to bear no connection to the erstwhile editor of the XXth Century Astrologer. The name may be a pseudonym

[13] A very brief and condensed guide to the Sun signs, with one page allotted to each, listing associated characteristics under seventeen different themes

[14] The author is a minister with the Universal Life Church and a rare book dealer, born to a Latvian emigrant father, who is the subject of the dedication on the verso of the front cover of this book. On the cover and title page he is styled simply “Rev. Ed.”, but his identity is revealed in parentheses at the foot of the title page

[15] After the third edition whose foreword is dated 1st February, 1967, itself significantly revised from the second (undated). The original foreword by Cyril Fagan is retained, dated 8th August, 1961
