This is the index page to all the astrological discussion forums that were recently (January 2016) opened to members of Astrolearn. They are very new, so you will not find a lot to read just yet, but that is all the more reason to take the initiative in starting strands and putting your personal stamp on proceedings.
Your participation is warmly welcomed. Please make sure you have registered as a member of the site first, using the Register page (accessible via the drop-down menu beneath “Forums” on the dashboard) or the “Log In” / “Sign In” tab on the sidebar.
These forums are led and moderated by experienced English astrologer Andy Muchall (aka Chester Field). Philip Graves will also be around to join discussions on historical and literature-related topics.
The rules for using the forums are very simple and shown on the Rules page, which also drops down from “Forums” on the dashboard. Above all, be civil, respectful and kind. Thank you!
This forum is for general astrology discussion. This includes discussion of particular astrological techniques and their uses and value: for instance, nativities, house systems, horary, electional, mundane, astro-meteorology, asteroids, heliocentric, galactic, transits, directions, progressions, profections, synastry, composite charts. It also includes practical worked astrological studies, delineations and examples.
In this forum, you may request analysis of particular astrological problems and questions (for example, analyses of birth charts, relationship analysis, predictive astrological analysis) by other members. NB: The site owner is an astrological researcher and historian, not a consultant astrologer, and will not respond to reading requests personally.
This forum is for the discussion and review of particular books and magazines related to astrology, as well as connected points of history. You may use it to draw attention to new publications in the field in addition to commenting on existing ones.
This forum is for all discussions of the history of astrology that are not directly connected with books or techniques. For instance, biographical discussions of particular astrologers or discussions of the place of astrology in particular cultures and ages would be appropriate here.
This forum is for the discussion of original and historical scientific and statistical research into astrology. This may include your own research. Newsworthy items of relevance to this subject may also be discussed here.
Here you may report on and discuss news in the world of astrology other than that of direct relevance to new books. You may also advertise your own astrological website, products or services, subject to a limit of one advertisement per calendar month per member. If you post an up-to-date advertisement that replaces an older one, please delete the out-of-date one. Thank you!
This forum is for philosophical discussions of any character. It is hoped that at least some will be of some relevance to astrological thinking. Kindly avoid derogatory remarks about particular religious beliefs and traditions, though it is fine to respectfully disagree with certain tenets and principles.
This forum is for the open discussion of, suggestions for and feedback relating to the Astrolearn website as well as Astrolearn scanned text products. You may for example suggest improvements and additional features. Please do not use this forum for personal criticism of other members and their behaviour in the forums. Where needed, this should be addressed in a private communication to the moderators.
