hb/dj Rudhyar, Dane The Moon: the Cycles and Fortunes of Life 1st David McKay Company, Washington Square, Philadelphia 1946 £200 The original title of Rudhyar’s famous book that was later revised as ‘The Lunation Cycle’ Original full blue-green pebbled cloth in near-fine condition for its age, with light rubbing to extremities of spine, and minimal hints to outer corners of boards. In vgc+ original pictorial dj, with 8mm tear to top of front spine hinge; moderate rubbing to top of spine; and light rubbing to tops of flap-folds; tiny scuff to part of surface of rear flap-fold. Former owner’s name neatly stamped to upper margin of ffep. Slight creasing to lower inner corners of paper throughout book. Lower part of inner margin of p. 10 has adhered to equivalent area of p. 11, with the result of slight ink transfer from the final character ‘n’ in the word ‘upon’ at the end of the last line of p. 10 to the inner margin of p. 11, but all words remain clear to read. Otherwise a near-fine copy internally, with previous owner markings beyond the ffep, and no other faults found. For its age, an excellent copy in like dj.
