Gilt titling to front board still strong and bright. Vintage small Samuel Weiser Inc. printed bookseller address label to front paste-down. Ffep with signature of original owner Ethel M. Boothe, New York, dated 1928, in fine slanting dark blue ink hand, and two former plain-pencilled price markings. No other markings found. Minor strain to binding at paper hinge between pp. 20 and 21, but underlying webbing strong; otherwise tightly bound throughout. An excellent copy of the rare first edition. |
