In vgc- dj, which has a few short tears, chips and scuffs to extremities, not affecting the titles or illustration; front flap price-clipped. Top edge of page block dyed deep blue, as issued. Internally near-fine, with no markings found. Leaves comprising pp. 99-102 were accidentally folded back at their lower outer corners before the binder’s trim, resulting in their being slightly too large for the lie of the book when they are fully unfolded. This could easily be corrected with a guillotine. No other faults found. A very clean copy of a relatively early edition that is sought-after for the design of its dust jacket. |
