Condition: Original very large-format blue cloth in vgc for age, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards. Gilt titling to front board and spine still clear and fairly bright. In good dj, which has been newly repaired on the inside with archival tape to compensate for chips and repair tears to head and tail of spine and extremities of flap-folds, and to repair a tear along the front spine hinge. Dj has some old stains, and also a few abiding very short tears to top edge of front panel and top and bottom edge of rear panel. Internally a generally very clean copy, with no deliberate previous owner markings found. There is a slight thumb stain to lower outer corner of p. 195. All leaves from p. 195 to end with crease across lower outer corners. Otherwise near-fine. The binding remains strong.
