The original printing of this scarce early edition, complete with the fold-out map, which is identical to the version issued with the first edition of 1935. The book is expanded from the first edition, which was only 41 pages long.

Condition: Original textured green card covers in near-fine condition for age. They are cut slightly larger than the pages within, resulting in a few short edge-tears, but nothing serious. Gilt titling to front cover still all clear. Lime-green endpapers intact, with some creasing to upper outer margin of rear paste-down. Internally near-fine, with no permanent markings found; minor plain-pencilled mark-up to ephemeris on pp. 65-7. The 8-panel fold-out map headed ‘Outline Chart of the World and the Heavens’, tipped in at rear, apparently as issued, remains in fine condition. A truly rare book in this, the original printing of the definitive expanded second edition; and this is an exceptionally well-conserved copy
