After the first edition of 1910, second of 1924 and third of 1932. Imprint and date are hidden beneath a Llewellyn distribution sticker on this copy but can clearly be seen when the title page is held up to the light from the reverse side. Complete in 88pp + [8 pages of advertisements]

Original small-format textured red cloth in fine condition. This copy has been conserved within a slightly later-issue dust jacket probably dating from the early 1940s, as shown by the dust jacket’s revised publisher address of 20 & 21 Red Lion Court. The dust jacket is mylar-protected and in near-fine condition, with minor chipping to top of spine and minimal chipping to extremities of flap-folds. Ffep with plain-pencilled former bookseller inventory number. Mauve-inked underlining and occasional marginal personal names to pp. 64-7 and 69, with a few odd words also underlined in mauve to pp. 70, 72, 74 and 75. No other markings found. Minor corrected dog-ear to upper outer corner of leaf comprising pp. 57-8. Externally fine in near-fine dj; internally good+. Overall, a satisfying and attractive early edition. Price factors in underlining.
